International Women’s Day is observed on Wednesday March 8th, and Women’s History Month is observed during the month of March. There are many women in the world of Reggae and her diaspora who have contributed to the expanse of her genre.

VP Records co-founder and company matriarch Patricia ‘Miss Pat’ Chin shares stories of her years in the business, and examples of applying creativity to the marketing of music in her book Miss Pat: My Reggae Music Journey.

From Music, to fashion, Miss Pat has built her empire. The advice she gives women; “start where you are. It doesn’t matter how much you have or have not, start where you are and your business will grow. Take your time, don’t rush and all will come together.”
